Here is a brief outline of the services and techniques I offer and how they can help you. Upon initial consultation it may be clear that one method may be more beneficial or we may decide upon a mix of treatments and training options. My priority is helping you. I always offer a FREE 20 minute consultation where required to assess any problems.
The body is the only thing that can heal the body. We have to find the best ways to promote this.

PERSONAL TRAINING
Exercise can often be the best form of therapy. Exercise can strengthen and lengthen muscles, and as many injuries and a lot of pain can be caused by muscle weakness and muscle tightness it makes sense that through training we can correct these problems. The issue is often identifying problems and knowing what exercise to do to correct the problems.


MASSAGE

From therapeutic massage for stress relief and easing tension; to sports massage, working on specific muscle sets and breaking down damage and collagenous deposits; to trigger point and frictional massage which can help with pain and functionality in a variety of ways.


JOINT MOBILISATION
A highly underused element of rehabilitation that can promote recovery of muscles and particularly joints.
When the mechanics of movement breaks down, performing these actions passively can remind tissue of its function, free joints from stiffness, and help recover natural movement - thereby reducing pain.


STRETCHING
Through passive and active assisted stretching techniques, demonstration and repetition of dynamic stretching and through proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) we can work on flexibility to lengthen muscles and alter the pressure and stress on joints to ease pain.


POSTURE
Whether it be through exercise in things like Pilates and Yoga, or strengthening and lengthening, massage or mobilisation making slight alterations in posture can have huge benefits on pain, discomfort, fitness and daily living. The deep core muscles of the body can play a major role in remodelling the posture and I can show you the most effective ways to ensure these muscles are working in unison for your benefit.
